About

I started this blog to allow myself an outlet for my many thoughts, questions, and ideas regarding religion and my new found lack thereof. I don’t expect that what I’m writing will be groundbreaking, but I hope that by making my writing public I can invite others to open a discourse and broaden my own understanding.

Running nearer to two years as an “official” atheist, I also find myself drawn to counter-apologetics and religion in current events. In the more recent months I feel like my mindset has been truly disentangled from the god concept and I am often struck with the strangeness of the idea when faced with it these days.

If interested in my deconversion, I cover a rough summary in these two posts: Part 1 | Part 2

Just came across your blog and wanted to say I really like the title. I also enjoyed reading your conversion story. In many ways it’s “the same” as others, yet we all have our own experiences that lead us away from “the faith.” What’s important is the end result. 🙂

Hey thanks, I appreciate the comment! My deconversion isn’t all that unique or exciting, but I always hope that maybe my particular thoughts and way of looking at things might be helpful to someone else. 🙂
